TPAR
TPAR stands for Taxable Payments Annual Report.
Some businesses and government entities who make payment to contractors may need to report these payments to the ATO through TPAR so that they are prevented from under-reporting or not reporting their income.
Businesses in the following industries may need to lodge TPAR:
- Building and construction services
- Cleaning services
- Courier services or road freight services
- Information technology services
- Security, investigation and surveillance services
- Government entities
You need to report the following on TPAR:
- ABN
- Name and address
- Gross payment made
- Any tax withheld if ABN was not quoted
There are various methods to lodge TPAR such as via the ATO online portal, via your business software or in paper form. TaxAssist Accountants can help with this.
