Rate indexation alert for fuel tax credits
Fuel tax credit rates increased from 1st August this year and these rates are indexed twice a year in line with the consumer price index (CPI).
Fuel tax credit rates increased from 1st August this year and these rates are indexed twice a year in line with the consumer price index (CPI). The ATO has warned that the rates will change again in February 2017.
On 1st July 2016, the rates also changed again, which was a result of a change in the road user charge, and the re-introduction of excise duty rates on biofuels.
The latest fuel tax credit rates can be found on the ATO website and it is recommended that these are checked before completing your BAS.
