The future belongs to those who plan for it
In small business you must plan. I would suggest every business resets its goals once a year, and sometimes even twice.
Don't get upset if you don't achieve your goals. All you can do is your best you must have heard it said that if you fail to plan you plan to fail.
“The future belongs to those who plan for it.” These were the words of Colin Hayes AM OBE, a famous South Australian horse trainer who won more Group One races and training premierships and any other horse trainer in Australia.
Colin Hayes was a central figure in the Australian thoroughbred breeding industry, pioneering the shuttle stallion concept with the Sangster and Magnier families.
Clearly, he planned his way to the top. He passed away many years ago, but his son David carries on his good work.
In my life experience, I have benefitted from Hayes’ strategy in many ways, including the races at Adelaide and Melbourne. In fact, on one of those days it was Hayes who broke the world record for the most winners by one trainer in any one day.
The future really does belong to those who plan for it.
I would suggest you go and visit your local TaxAssist Accountant and draw up a plan for your business.
