If you’ve provided benefits like personal use of a company car, event tickets, gym memberships, or reimbursed private expenses, you may need to lodge an FBT return.
Key Deadlines:
21 May 2025 – If lodging a paper return
25 June 2025 – If lodging electronically through a registered tax agent
21 May 2025 – Deadline to be added to an agent’s FBT client list (if using an agent for the first time)
Examples of Benefits That May Attract FBT:
- Allowing private use of a work vehicle
- Providing tickets to concerts or sporting events
- Paying for private memberships or expenses
- Offering travel or meal benefits outside standard allowances
At TaxAssist Accountants, we can:
- Review the benefits you’ve provided
